FirstLight HomeCare has developed a comprehensive training program to guide new owners every step of the way as they move forward in opening a new FirstLight HomeCare business. Because of our experience in both senior care and franchising, we know and reinforce the keys to initial and ongoing franchisee education.

FirstLight HomeCare provides franchisees with the following education:

Homecare Franchises

Pre-Training Module

A pre-training module is provided to new owners within 48 hours after signing the franchise agreement. Designed to help FirstLight HomeCare franchise owners hit the ground running prior to the new owner training, the detailed module entails a minimum of 18-24 hours of focused work to complete all of the steps required.

New Owner Training Week

New FirstLight HomeCare franchisees are required to participate and successfully complete New Owner Training Week in Cincinnati, OH. This five-day training is fast-paced and quickly immerses new owners into the ins and outs of the Senior Care industry, the FirstLight operating system and provides a hands-on approach to learn the FirstLight HomeCare business model.

Post-Training Module

The FirstLight HomeCare post-training module helps to transition new owners from training to support by scheduling weekly phone calls beginning the first week the owner is back in their new office and continues for 16 weeks. These calls answer questions and concerns and offer general support while the new homecare business is in the start-up phase. Additionally, within first week to 10 days of opening, a two-day, onsite visit from a FirstLight Field Support Leader will occur so we stay right beside you, working together.

Ongoing Business Support

FirstLight HomeCare ensures that you are supported continuously throughout your FirstLight franchise ownership. Our leadership team is committed to conducting on-site, face-to-face visits with you and your team several times annually to address any needs you may have regarding recruiting, networking, business planning, marketing and growth. Additionally, because state licensure requirements for companion and personal care are rapidly changing in many states, we are committed to guiding and supporting franchisees to meet and exceed state licensure requirements as they evolve.

FirstLight HomeCare will also conduct a series of national and regional meetings every year. These meetings will enable franchisees to share best practices with each other as well as obtain pertinent industry information. Regional meetings will be one to two days in length and national meetings will be two to three days long.

FirstLight believes that quality training and support is the foundation for building a business. Our years of experience and dedication to quality homecare will assist new owners to also provide exceptional care to their clients.
